A Giclee print is made by an archival digital process in which a drawing is photographed or scanned digitally and subsequently printed on a high quality inkjet printer. Since its introduction in the early '90s, the advances in the technology of inkjet printing, paper and pigments have resulted in an impressive longevity (125 years) and the quality of inkjet prints. This has convinced Shoofly that there is no safer or finer accuracy for the replicating his drawings in small editions of 30 or less. The deckled edge around the margin of the print is hand torn.
